Welcome to the Little Red Schoolhouse, where we create neurodivergent affirming, secular homeschool unit studies, and curriculum for the whole family!

Although homeschooling had always been something I had considered, schools shutting down right as my eldest was set to start Kindergarten was the push I really needed to take that thought seriously. The beautiful, small school with individualized classes that allowed kids to work at their own pace despite their grade level, shut down. Permanently. As I mourned the loss of this amazing, unicorn of a space, I got to work creating a fun, inspiring school room out of our dining room. Full of books, manipulatives, curriculum, and more, where we could join together every day to learn something new.

A lot has changed since taking that first step. Along our journey, I have learned so much about myself and my children, including about how our neurodivergent brains work, and under what conditions we can really flourish. Understanding all of this has changed the lens through which I view many of the curriculum options available to homeschoolers.

This is why I started building tools, worksheets, activities, and units to better suit our neurodivergent, and family learning style, and capture the special interests of my individual learners. But we don’t gatekeep around here! So everything that works for my family is now available to yours, as digital downloads to use in your own homeschool journey.
